French Bread Slices
We find it difficult to prevent a loaf of French bread from becoming hard before we use it up. So now I slice the loaf, return it to its original wrapper, then place it in a plastic bag in the freezer. To use, dampen a microwave-safe
paper towel, wrap it around the number of slices you’d like, and warm in the microwave for 30 seconds or so. They taste just like fresh. Then simply return the rest of the loaf to the freezer. —Carolyn De Walt, Ft. Worth, Texas
